Eureka routes to track in 2026

Eureka currently shows useful routes across SME-led projects, communications technologies and low-carbon innovation, with different timing and national funding conditions to watch carefully.

As of 18 April 2026, Eureka offers several routes worth tracking for organisations that want collaborative R&D rather than a purely domestic grant search.

Eurostars remains the clearest entry point for innovative SME-led consortia. The main programme page says projects must be led by an innovative SME or startup from a Eurostars country, include at least one independent organisation from another Eurostars country, stay within 36 months and focus on civil applications. The same page lists both the Netherlands and Türkiye among Eurostars countries and shows the next call 11 deadline on 10 September 2026.

For teams in communications, digital infrastructure or trusted connectivity, the CELTIC-NEXT Spring 2026 call stays open until 24 April 2026 and explicitly includes Türkiye among participating countries. For climate and low-carbon collaboration, EUROGIA2030 Call 30 runs until 30 April 2026 and says Turkish participants can seek grant funding through TÜBİTAK under national rules.

The editorial takeaway is to treat Eureka as a portfolio rather than a single programme. The best route depends on whether the project is SME-led, cluster-specific or nationally fundable. Before spending time on consortium drafting, teams should always verify the country-specific funding conditions on the call pages and with the relevant national bodies.
